Image

Don't ask me why am still using XP instead of Vista, Co'z most users of Vista says, it sucks! when it comes to driver installation. Of course most people uses backward technology not unless you're a techie person. Screen Shot of the update page. I myself prefers XP, since it doesn't give me much headache, so if you're using XP too, consider this upgrade. You can download the update HERE , or just go to mircosoft update webpage (just be sure you have the legal version or else hehehe!). I just hope my pc would run smoothly as it was before in the near future.

Do It Yourself: Tips for Faster PC Boot Up

Your Computer loads a lot of programs every time it starts up. Each of the icons in your system tray represents an auto-start application. And there are probably other programs on your machine that start automatically but don't make their presence known so easily. Each autoloading app slows your boot time--a little or a lot. And because most of them continue to run in the background, they rob you of a little performance. Before you start eliminating autoloaders, though, make sure you can undo your changes. In Windows XP, Select Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore. Select Create a restore point, click next, call your restore point something like before removing autoloaders, and choose Create. Click Close once you've created the restore point. In Windows Vista, select Start, Control Panel, System. Under 'Tasks' on the right side of the window, click System Protection. In the System Properties box that comes up, click Create at the bottom of...

Gaming enthusiasts will only be able to access DirectX 10 via a combination of one of the latest video cards and one of the editions of Windows Vista. These libraries allow the use of DirectX 10 games on platforms other than Microsoft Vista, and increase hardware compatibility even on Vista, by compiling Geometry Shaders down to native machine code for execution where hardware isn't capable of running it. No longer will you have to upgrade your OS and video card(s) to play the latest games," revealed Cody Brocious, Lead Engineer on the Alky Project. With Windows Vista, Microsoft has also overhauled the DirectX driver architecture in the operating system.
