Cure Allergy The Natural Way

Allergies are common to millions of people all over the world. Allergies usually occur as a result of poor immune system and excessive exposure to allergens.

Even if you get afflicted with allergies every so often, you can never get used to the ugly and annoying manifestations, such as skin rash, runny nose, blotched eyes and so forth. While these can be treated with medications, sometimes, you may feel that youve taken far too many antihistamines and steroids already to last you a lifetime.

You long for a healthier and more natural alternative to drugs. Fortunately, there are many other ways by which you can boost your immune system and reduce the symptoms of allergies naturally.

Vitamin C, specifically with bioflavonoids, is a natural antihistamine. The recommended dosage is 5000 mgs of Vitamin C a day, and not a little more than that. Then again, you should reduce the dosage if you experience any gastric problems. 1000 mgs a day of Omega-3 fatty acids can also reduce allergic symptoms, while Vitamin E and grape seed extract are known immune system boosters.

If you choose to go herbal, following are recommended herbs that are said to treat common allergies.

Licorice root:

This is one of the most widely used herbs in the treatment of allergies because of its ability to fight off viruses. However, licorice root must not be used if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or diseases involving the kidneys and the liver.

Ginger root and Rosemary:

These powerful herbs have anti-inflammatory properties and they are known to stimulate the immune system.

Capsicum:

Rich in Vitamin C, which is, in itself, already an antihistamine. Capsicum also raises your energy levels, thus helping you ward off diseases and fight off allergies.

Many people are turning to Mother Nature for the relief of their allergic symptoms, and often for good reason. These herbal remedies are natural, effective, and they do not cost a lot at all, especially if you compare them with the chemically produced medications for allergy. Still, though, it is always wise to consult your doctor if you want to take the alternative approach to dealing with your allergies.
