Home Remedy for Emesis

Emesis also known as vomiting, is a condition wherein the stomach is force to expel its contents due to the contraction of stomach muscles. Sometimes, it may occur without expelling anything from your mouth. The patient can feel nauseous from time to time.

Symptoms of Emesis

Emesis or vomiting can be experience along with:

  • Dizziness
  • Lightheadedness
  • Difficulty in swallowing food or liquid
  • Rapid pulse
  • Salivating
  • Changes in skin temperature

Causes of Emesis

Emesis or vomiting is caused by a variety of conditions such as:

  • Acute gastritis or reflux
  • Cholera
  • Flu
  • Food poisoning
  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Intestinal obstruction
  • Kidney failure
  • Migraine
  • Pregnancy
  • Overeating
  • Stomach upsets
  • Peptic and stomach ulcers

Home Remedies / Treatment for Emesis

Ginger:
Drink a cup of ginger tea.

Honey:
Roast 2 cardamoms and mix it with honey.

Limejuice:
Mix 1 teaspoon mint juice, 1 teaspoon lime juice, ½ teaspoon ginger juice, and 1 teaspoon honey.
