Home Remedy for Alopecia

Alopecia or Hair loss or baldness is a condition wherein there is an absence of hair growth from where it is typically develops, especially on the head. It can be either temporary or permanent. There are several types of hair loss incidence, from the male progressive thinning pattern to the male and female pattern alopecia.

The average hair growth rate is about 1.2 cm per month. While females between 15-30 years of age experiences faster hair growth.

Symptoms of Alopecia

Hair fall, gradual appearance of bald patches and receding hairline are the most apparent symptom of hair loss.

Causes of Alopecia

Primary factor for hair loss is malnutrition. Vitamin B6 and folic acid deficiency often leads to total hair loss. It is better to take vitamin supplements to counteract this condition.

Other causes to take note of are anxiousness, heredity and sudden distress; prolonged exposure to illnesses such as anemia, common cold, influenza, syphilis and typhoid; and damaged hair roots due to accumulation of dirt on the hair pores.
