Home Remedy for Pimples

Pimples is the most common skin disease. It is a disorder resulting from the action of hormones and other substances on the skin’s oil glands (sebaceous glands) and hair follicles. Nearly 17 million people in the United States are affected with acne.
Pimples is not a serious health threat but severe cases of ruptured pimples can cause scars. Most common sites of acne are on the face, neck, chests, back, and shoulders.
During puberties, it may take the form of a comedo, an enlarged hair follicle. Whiteheads (which stays under the surface of the skin), or Blackheads (which rise to the skin’s surface and look black) are the two forms of comedo.
Acnes may cause slight swelling of the skin, also known as pimples.
Types of pimples are:
  • Papules - which are small, pink bumps
  • Pustules - which are red lesions filled with pus
  • Nodules - large, painful lesions in the skin
  • Cysts - deep, painful lesions that can cause scars
